Today in class we continued our discussion about chapter 7 of The Great Gatsby. We split up in groups according to what topic we focused on in chapter 7. For example I was in group C because I focused on when all of the characters  were in NYC at the hotel. Other groups focused on their trip to NYC and the other group focused on their ride home from NYC. In our groups we focused on the characters high points and low points. So for my group one of the high points for Gatsby was when he told the truth about how he wasn't technically an Oxford man. A low point for Gatsby was when he blurted out that Daisy doesn't love Tom anymore. A lot happened in this chapter such as Myrtle getting hit by a car that Daisy was driving because she was so overwhelmed with what happened at the hotel. Another event that happened was that Nick really wasn't a big factor in this chapter because it mainly focused on Gatsby's, Daisy's and Tom's interactions with one another. We ended the class with reading some high and low points of the characters in this chapter.
